Overview of the 3rd KITA K-Career Master Program

• Training Objective
  To nurture global trade professionals with a strong understanding of domestic and overseas markets

  10 weeks of training, 303 hours + 4 weeks of internship, 160 hours

Internship Opportunities in the Trade Industry

  Companies interested in hiring international students among KITA’s 75,000 member companies and 260,000 exporting companies
• Company Matching
  Internship hiring and company matching will be determined based on each company’s hiring intention and the trainee’s program application documents.
• Important Note
  Depending on company hiring demand, internship companies may not be assigned immediately after program completion. If a trainee does not wish to be matched for an internship, they may choose not to receive an internship placement.

Internship Matching Results for the 1st & 2nd Programs

• 70% of trainees successfully matched with internships
• Cases of conversion to full-time employment, including E-7 visa employment, after internship
• Even when immediate matching is not available, continuous follow-up support such as career counseling and company recommendations will be provided.
• A diverse company pool is available, including large companies, mid-sized companies, SMEs, and startups.

FAQ

Q1. Is this program only open to foreigners?

Yes. The K-Career Master Program is designed to support employment in Korea for international residents. Therefore, only foreign applicants who hold a visa that allows employment in Korea will be selected.

Q2. What kind of jobs will we learn about?

Most Korean companies interested in hiring international talent are looking for candidates in overseas sales and marketing roles. Therefore, the K-Career Master Program is designed to help participants become well-prepared for overseas sales and marketing positions in Korean companies, based on a foundation of basic trade practice.

In addition, continuous employment consulting, resume and cover letter feedback, and interview feedback will be provided through the Trade Academy Career Support Center.

This program does not end with classroom learning. Participants will also carry out marketing projects linked with actual companies in the trade industry. These project results can be used as part of your employment portfolio.

Q3. How will the training be conducted?

The training will be conducted offline from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The training location is COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and classrooms and training facilities will be provided for participants.

For students who wish to use the space, classrooms will also be available for self-study until 10:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekends.

Q4. How does internship matching work?

Internship matching will be based on the resume that participants prepare during the program. Participants will interview with trade industry companies that wish to hire them as interns, and hiring will proceed if they pass the interview.

The Trade Academy has built a company pool interested in hiring international students through the 1st and 2nd K-Career Master Programs, and will continue to discover additional companies.

Once internship hiring is confirmed, the internship start date, working conditions, and other details will be discussed between the company and the participant. The internship will begin after program completion.

If internship matching is not completed by the time of program completion, matching opportunities may also be provided when internship matching is conducted for the next K-Career Master program.

Q5. Is there any financial support?

The K-Career Master Program provides full scholarships to the top 30% of students based on attendance, grades, and performance in the project presentation competition.

Q6. How does the selection process work?

Applicants must submit the program application form through the Trade Academy website. Final acceptance will be determined through document screening and an interview.

The most important evaluation criteria in the interview are Korean language ability and sincerity.
TOPIK level 5–6 is recommended for Korean language ability.

Q7. Can international students currently enrolled in university also take this program?

Yes. The training period for the 3rd K-Career Master Program is from June 24 to August 31, which falls during the university vacation period.

Therefore, D-2 visa students who still have remaining semesters may also participate in the program.
